$1.5 million dollar contribution from the Irving I. Moskowitz Foundation to help fund state-of-the- art Sport Complex facility in Hawaiian Gardens.

HAWAIIAN GARDENS CA - During the difficult economic times many cities are facing budget cuts, layoffs, and delays in projects.  Unlike many of these cities, Hawaiian Gardens received a $1.5 million dollar contribution from the Irving I. Moskowitz Foundation to build a state-of-the-art recreational facility.  The Irving I. Moskowitz Foundation has made many generous contributions to different city run programs and events.  However, the Pharis Fede Middle School Project is one of the largest projects that the Irving I. Moskowitz Foundation has help fund.  The sport complex will include a synthetic turf field, rubberized surface track with stadium seating, lighting and scoreboard, a natural grass soccer field, natural grass baseball/softball fields and scoreboards, repaved basketball and volleyball courts, a concession stand, restrooms, a children’s playground area, and two new parking lots.
